Chief Instructor
Sulaiman Hakeem, 4th Dan Shidoin (Certified Instructor), began training in 1999 at the Aikikai of Philadelphia, under the late Henry Smith, 6th Dan Shihan. With a decade of learning under his belt, Sulaiman advanced his education through an apprenticeship under of Donovan Waite, 7th Dan Shihan, at Old City Aikido.
In 2017, Sulaiman started Aikido of Greater Philadelphia. In addition to his responsibilities at AGP, Sulaiman regularly travels around the country to attend seminars and practice with various United States Aikido Federation instructors.
Sulaiman's life-long love of the art of Aikido shines through every lesson he imparts. He hopes to pass on the discipline, as well as the joy, Aikido has given him to his students.
